Metal kits for side hinged windows
The current market trend towards deeper side hinged window series allows for the systems to:
• Incorporate larger thermal bridge breaks, thus attaining transmittance values under 0,8 W/m2K.
• Use glazings over 65 mm in thickness, which enable the use of more energy-efficient glass, as well as formats of high thickness and double glazing.
• Use larger size enclosures to give more prominence to light in buildings. These systems, in turn, require fittings that enable them to attain the most stringent values for Air Permeability, Watertightness and Wind Resistance.
In these cases, traditional Kits for Side Hinged Windows, the parts of which are mostly made of plastic or plastic with metal inserts, are inadequate and a higher quality solution is required.

We have configured several locking kit options with these two parts, either for single or double leaf windows. The working parts of the window leaf are made of zamak and the mechanically unstressed parts are made of glassfibre reinforced polyamide.
Stainless Steel Kit for Side Hinged and Tilt and Turn Windows
We have designed a new kit for the most demanding applications. This kit includes a stainless steel rod.
Steel combines high strength and elasticity, thus making it suitable to withstand the wind pressure overloads for the larger windows in the AEV essays which reflect the most extreme conditions.
STAC has configured this kit for passive side hinged and tilt and turn leaves.
